Mike Beuttler

Mike Beuttler, a British driver born in 1940, made twenty-eight Formula 1 starts across three consecutive seasons from 1971 to 1973, all in March machinery. He debuted at around 31 years of age with a March-Ford.

Beuttler campaigned as a privateer March runner throughout his career, and none of his three seasons produced championship points; he went unclassified in the standings each year.

Twenty-eight starts without a point should be read against the context of the era: points went only to the top six finishers, and customer March chassis run outside the works structure rarely had the pace to reach them against the leading teams of the early 1970s.

His career nonetheless represented a sustained commitment — three full seasons of Grand Prix racing with the same marque — before his involvement in the championship ended after 1973.
