About Bob Scott

Bob Scott, an American driver born in 1928, made five World Championship starts between 1952 and 1954. His appearances came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960 and drew fields of American oval-racing specialists.

He drove Kurtis Kraft machinery in 1952 and 1953 before switching to a Stevens for 1954, and over his career was associated with four American chassis builders including Bromme and Schroeder.

Scott scored no championship points and was unclassified in the standings in each of his three seasons, his five starts leaving him among the many Indianapolis regulars whose names appear in the World Championship records of the early 1950s without troubling the scorers.
