Piero Carini

Piero Carini, an Italian driver born in 1921, made three World Championship starts across the 1952 and 1953 seasons, racing Ferrari machinery on each occasion.

Competing in the early years of the World Championship, when grids mixed works entries with private runners, Carini did not trouble the scorers: he recorded no points, podiums or pole positions and was unclassified in the standings in both of his seasons.

His brief spell at the top level was over by the end of 1953, leaving him among the many Italian drivers of the period whose championship careers amounted to a handful of appearances.
