Franco Comotti

Franco Comotti, an Italian driver born in 1906, made two World Championship starts in the early 1950s, the first with Maserati in the inaugural 1950 season and the second with Ferrari in 1952.

Already in his mid-forties when the championship began, he was among the pre-war generation who made scattered appearances in its first years. Neither start brought points, and his Formula 1 record closed at two appearances for two of Italy's great marques.
