Guy Edwards

Guy Edwards, a British driver born in 1942, made twelve Formula 1 starts across the 1974 and 1976 seasons. He reached the World Championship at the age of thirty-one, spending his debut year of 1974 driving for Lola.

After sitting out the 1975 championship, Edwards returned in 1976 with Hesketh, the British privateer team, for his second and final season of Grand Prix racing.

Neither campaign brought World Championship points; the machinery available to him in both years was not of a standard to challenge for the top-six finishes that scored in that era.

His Formula 1 record therefore stands at twelve starts, two teams and two non-consecutive seasons — a short career at the back of the mid-1970s grids.
