Cliff Griffith

Cliff Griffith was an American driver born in 1916 whose three World Championship starts came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960. He appeared in 1951 and 1952 driving a Kurtis Kraft, then returned after a three-year gap in 1956 at the wheel of a Stevens.

None of the three outings brought championship points, and he was unclassified in the standings each time. His record — three starts spread over six seasons, in the two chassis marques typical of American oval racing of the day — places him among the many Indianapolis regulars whose names entered the Formula 1 record books during the championship's first decade.
