About Kevin Magnussen
Kevin Magnussen, a Danish driver born in 1992, has competed in Formula 1 across ten seasons between 2014 and 2024, accumulating 186 Grand Prix starts, one podium finish, three fastest laps and 196 championship points with McLaren, Renault and Haas.
His debut season remains statistically his strongest: joining McLaren in 2014 at the age of twenty-one, he took his sole podium, scored fifty-five points and finished eleventh in the championship. He remained with McLaren in 2015 without making a start, then returned to the grid with Renault in 2016, scoring seven points.
From 2017 Magnussen became a cornerstone of the American Haas team, driving for them in eight seasons across two spells. The 2018 campaign was the high point of the partnership, bringing fifty-six points and ninth in the drivers' standings, his best championship finish. Leaner years followed, including a single-point 2020 season, before he returned in 2022 and scored twenty-five points.
His long association with Haas continued through 2023 and 2024, with sixteen points in his final recorded season. Few drivers of his generation have been so closely identified with a single midfield team, and his 186 starts place him comfortably among the most experienced Danish drivers in the history of the championship.
