Haas F1 Team

Haas F1 Team made history in 2016 as the first American-licensed team to enter Formula 1 in three decades, founded by NASCAR team owner and industrialist Gene Haas. It adopted a novel business model, buying as many components as the regulations allowed from Ferrari and partnering with Dallara for chassis production.

This lean approach paid immediate dividends, with the team scoring points on its debut and finishing a remarkable fifth in the constructors' championship in 2018. Haas has since experienced the swings typical of a small team, with strong seasons interspersed with difficult ones, but it remains a permanent fixture as the grid's American entry.

Operating from bases in the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy, Haas continues to fly the American flag in a sport historically dominated by European teams.
