Tony Marsh

Tony Marsh, a British driver born in 1931, made nine World Championship starts in a career that came in two separate phases, with a gap in the middle.

He first appeared in 1957 and 1958 driving Cooper machinery. After two seasons away from the championship, he returned in 1961 with a Lotus-Climax and made his final starts in 1962 at the wheel of a BRM.

None of his nine outings across the four seasons brought championship points — the usual fate of drivers running independent entries against the works teams of the late 1950s and early 1960s. His record stands at nine starts, three makes of car, and a Formula 1 involvement stretched across six years.
