Johnny McDowell

Johnny McDowell, an American driver born in 1915, made three World Championship starts between 1950 and 1952, during the early years of the championship. He was around thirty-five years old when his name first appeared on a World Championship entry list.

McDowell's three appearances came with two different marques: he drove Kurtis Kraft machinery in 1950 and 1952, with a Maserati entry in between in 1951. None of the three outings yielded championship points, and he was unclassified in the standings in each of his three seasons.
