About Roberto Moreno

Roberto Moreno, a Brazilian driver born in 1959, made forty-three Formula 1 starts spread across six seasons between 1987 and 1995, driving for an unusually long list of teams that included AGS, Coloni, Euro Brun, Benetton, Andrea Moda, Forti, Jordan and Minardi.

He scored a point on debut-season form with AGS in 1987, and after a difficult 1989 with Coloni his fortunes improved markedly: six points with Euro Brun in 1990 lifted him to eleventh in the championship, and 1991 brought his best season, eight points and tenth overall with Benetton, along with his sole podium finish.

The years that followed were harder. A 1992 stint with the tiny Andrea Moda operation and a 1995 return with Forti both passed without points, bookending gaps in 1988, 1993 and 1994.

Moreno's fifteen career points came almost entirely in the 1990 and 1991 seasons, the brief window in which he had competitive machinery. His path through eight teams, from grid-fillers to a front-running constructor and back, is among the most varied of his generation.
