Jacques Pollet

Jacques Pollet, a French driver born in 1922, made five World Championship starts for Gordini across the 1954 and 1955 seasons. He was in his early thirties when he debuted with the French constructor, one of the smaller works teams battling the Italian and German marques of the period.

His two seasons produced no championship points and no classified position in the standings, a fate common to Gordini runners of the mid-1950s, whose machinery rarely matched the pace of the front-running teams.

Pollet's Formula 1 record closed after 1955: five starts, one team, and a career contained entirely within two seasons of the championship's first decade.
