Sam Posey

Sam Posey, an American driver born in 1944, made two Formula 1 starts with Surtees, one in 1971 and one in 1972. Coming to the World Championship in his late twenties, he raced for the team founded by John Surtees during its early years as a constructor. Neither appearance produced championship points, and he went unclassified in both seasons. His Formula 1 involvement amounts to those two outings, a season apart, with the same British team.
