Huub Rothengatter

Huub Rothengatter is a Dutch driver who made twenty-six World Championship starts across three seasons in the mid-1980s, driving for a different struggling constructor each year. Born in 1954, he debuted at twenty-nine with Spirit in 1984.

He moved to Osella for 1985 and then to Zakspeed for 1986, but each of the three teams occupied the back end of the grid during the turbo era, and none of his campaigns produced a point or a championship classification.

Twenty-six starts without a score tells the story less of the driver than of the machinery available to him: three seasons, three small teams, and no realistic opportunity to trouble the points. His Formula 1 career closed after the 1986 season.
