About Eddie Russo
Eddie Russo was an American driver born in 1925 who made four World Championship starts between 1955 and 1960. All of his appearances came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960, and he never contested a European Grand Prix.
He debuted in a Pawl in 1955, then drove Kurtis Kraft chassis for his remaining starts in 1956, 1957 and, after a two-year absence, 1960. None of the four outings brought points, leaving his championship record at four starts without a score, a profile shared by many of the American oval-racing specialists of the decade.
