Alexander Albon

Alexander Albon is a Thai-British racing driver born on 23 March 1996. Racing under the Thai flag, he rose through the junior single-seater ranks and finished runner-up in the 2018 FIA Formula 2 championship before earning a Formula 1 seat. Across 136 starts he has scored 313 career points and stood on the podium twice.

Albon made his F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2019 and was promoted mid-season to Red Bull Racing, where he claimed his first podiums and finished seventh in the 2020 standings with 105 points alongside Max Verstappen. Dropped to a reserve role for 2021, he rebuilt his career at Williams from 2022, regularly dragging the underpowered car into the points and establishing himself as the team's clear lead driver, with a best championship result of eighth in 2025 on 73 points.

In 2026 Albon continues with Williams, now partnered by Carlos Sainz. After nine rounds he sits 16th in the drivers' standings on 5 points as the team works to convert flashes of pace into consistent results.

Albon is admired for his racecraft, tyre management and ability to extract results from midfield machinery, qualities that turned his Williams stint into a career resurrection after a difficult exit from Red Bull.
