John Fitch

John Fitch, an American driver born in 1917, made two World Championship starts during the 1950s, appearing in 1953 with HWM and in 1955 with Maserati.

Racing in the early years of the World Championship, Fitch was one of the few Americans of the period to contest the European rounds rather than the Indianapolis 500. Neither of his two outings brought championship points, and his Formula 1 record stands at two starts across a pair of seasons two years apart.
