About Daniil Kvyat
Daniil Kvyat, a Russian driver born in 1994, raced in Formula 1 between 2014 and 2020, starting 112 Grands Prix and scoring 202 points with three podium finishes and one fastest lap.
He made his debut with Toro Rosso in 2014 at just twenty years old, scoring eight points as a rookie. Promotion to Red Bull followed for 2015, and it produced his best campaign: 95 points and seventh in the drivers' championship. He remained with Red Bull into 2016, adding 25 points, before returning to Toro Rosso, where a difficult 2017 brought only five points.
Kvyat was absent from the grid in 2018, but the break did not end his career. He rejoined Toro Rosso for 2019 and answered with 37 points, his strongest tally since the Red Bull years, then stayed on as the team became AlphaTauri in 2020, scoring 32 points in his final season.
In all, he drove for the Red Bull organisation in one form or another throughout his seven seasons, with his three podiums standing as the peaks of a career that swung repeatedly between the senior and junior teams.
