Vitantonio Liuzzi

Vitantonio Liuzzi, an Italian driver born in 1980, made 80 Formula 1 starts between 2005 and 2011, scoring 26 championship points across spells with four teams in the Red Bull and independent camps.

He entered the sport with Red Bull in 2005, taking a point in a partial campaign, then spent 2006 and 2007 with the junior Toro Rosso squad, adding one and three points respectively. After sitting out 2008, he returned with Force India in 2009, though that first season back went scoreless.

The 2010 season with Force India was comfortably his best: 21 points and fifteenth in the drivers' championship, accounting for the bulk of his career total. It was followed by a final year with the backmarker HRT operation in 2011, which brought no points and 23rd in the standings.

His career thus traced a full arc through the grid, from a Red Bull debut through midfield respectability to the back row, with the Force India years standing as its competitive peak.
