Charles Pic

Charles Pic, a French driver born in 1990, competed in Formula 1 in 2012 and 2013, making 39 starts for two of the newer teams at the back of the grid.

He made his debut with Marussia in 2012 at the age of 22, and was classified 21st in the World Championship in his rookie year.

For 2013 he switched to Caterham, Marussia's closest rival among the recent entrants, and finished the season 20th in the standings. As with his first year, the machinery gave him no realistic opportunity to score.

Pic's two seasons ended without championship points — a reflection of the gap between the newest teams and the established midfield in that era — and his Formula 1 career concluded after the 2013 campaign, when he was 23.
