Jacques Swaters

Jacques Swaters, born in 1926, took part in the Formula 1 World Championship across three seasons in the early 1950s, making seven starts in total. He first appeared in 1951 at the wheel of a Talbot-Lago, machinery typical of the privateer entries that filled out grids in the championship's opening years.

After missing the 1952 season, Swaters returned in 1953 with a Ferrari and continued with the Italian marque into 1954. He did not score World Championship points in any of his seven starts, a common fate for independent entrants competing against the factory teams of the era.
