Sakon Yamamoto

Sakon Yamamoto, a Japanese driver born in 1982, made 21 World Championship starts across three seasons spread over five years. He debuted with Super Aguri in 2006 at the age of 24, moved to Spyker for 2007, and returned after a two-year absence to drive for HRT in 2010.

All three of his teams occupied the back of the grid in their respective seasons, and his campaigns brought no points: he was classified 26th in the 2006 championship, 24th in 2007 and 26th again in 2010.

The pattern of his career — partial seasons with new or struggling constructors, interrupted by a gap in 2008 and 2009 — placed him consistently in Formula 1's most difficult machinery.

His record closed after 2010 with 21 starts and no points, podiums or poles across his three campaigns.
