RAM

RAM was a British racing outfit that competed in the Formula 1 World Championship between 1983 and 1985, taking part across 3 seasons during the 1980s.

Like many of the small privateer entries that filled the grids of its day, the team did not score championship points, but its participation was part of the fabric of Formula 1 in an era when privateers and one-off entrants were a common sight.

Drivers to appear for the team included Kenny Acheson, Philippe Alliot and Manfred Winkelhock among the 6 drivers who raced under the banner.

RAM represents the countless smaller teams and privateer entries whose participation, however brief, helped fill the grids and shape the character of Formula 1. Though it never reached the front, it remains part of the complete history of the World Championship.
