Bob Anderson

Bob Anderson, a British driver born in 1931, competed in the World Championship from 1963 to 1967, making 25 starts. After a debut season with Lola in 1963, he spent the remaining four years of his career racing Brabham-Climax machinery.

His best season came in 1964, when he scored five points, took the only podium finish of his career, and was classified eleventh in the championship. That year stands clearly as the peak of his record.

Anderson continued to add to his tally in the seasons that followed, scoring a point in 1966 for nineteenth in the standings and two more in 1967 for seventeenth. In an era when only the top six finishers scored, points finishes in independently run machinery were hard-earned results.

His final record of eight points and one podium from 25 starts, achieved largely with the same Brabham-Climax package across four seasons, reflects a consistent five-year presence in 1960s Grand Prix racing.
