About Piers Courage

Piers Courage was a British driver who competed in Formula 1 from 1967 to 1970, making 29 starts over four seasons with four different teams.

He first appeared in 1967 in a Lotus-BRM without scoring, then joined BRM for 1968, where four points brought him twentieth place in the drivers' championship.

The 1969 season, driving a Brabham-Ford, was comfortably his best: sixteen points and eighth in the championship, the highest classification of his career. His two career podium finishes and the bulk of his twenty points date from this period.

For 1970 Courage switched to the De Tomaso team, but the season brought no points and proved to be his last in the World Championship. His record stands at 29 starts, two podiums and twenty points, with the 1969 Brabham campaign as its clear centrepiece.
