Howden Ganley

Howden Ganley, a New Zealander born in 1941, competed in Formula 1 for four seasons between 1971 and 1974, making thirty-six Grand Prix starts.

The bulk of his career was spent with BRM, where he impressed across two seasons: five points and fifteenth in the championship as a newcomer in 1971, followed by four points and thirteenth place in 1972, his best championship finish.

He moved to Iso Marlboro for 1973 and kept his scoring streak alive with a single point, meaning he reached the points in each of his first three seasons. A final campaign with March in 1974 ended without a score.

Ganley retired from the championship with ten points from thirty-six starts. He never reached the podium, but consistent point-scoring across three straight seasons in early-1970s machinery marks his as a solidly productive midfield career.
