Peter Walker

Peter Walker, a British driver born in 1912, made four World Championship starts spread across the first half of the 1950s, racing for ERA, BRM, Connaught and Maserati.

He appeared in the championship's inaugural season of 1950 with ERA, drove for BRM in 1951, and returned after a gap of several years for a final outing in a Maserati in 1955, by which time he was in his early forties.

None of his four starts produced points, a common fate for drivers of British machinery in the early years of the World Championship, when the ERA and BRM projects struggled against the dominant Italian teams. His career at this level closed after the 1955 season.
