Pedro de la Rosa

Pedro de la Rosa is a Spanish driver whose Formula 1 career spanned fourteen years, from 1999 to 2012, though it comprised nine racing seasons and 106 starts interrupted by two lengthy spells away from the grid. He debuted with Arrows at twenty-eight, scoring a point in his very first season, and added two more with the team in 2000 before moving to Jaguar for 2001 and 2002.

After two years out of a race seat he resurfaced at McLaren, and it was there that his career peaked: the 2006 season brought nineteen points, his only podium finish, and eleventh place in the drivers' championship — comfortably his best classification. His sole fastest lap also came during his McLaren period.

A second hiatus followed before Sauber brought him back for 2010 and 2011, and he closed his career with a difficult final campaign at the back of the grid with HRT in 2012. In all, de la Rosa drove for five teams and accumulated thirty-five points, his longevity across three distinct phases of the sport standing out more than any single result.
