Nico Rosberg

Nico Rosberg was a German racing driver born on 27 June 1985, the 2016 Formula 1 World Champion and the son of 1982 champion Keke Rosberg. He famously retired from the sport just days after clinching his title, ending his career at its absolute peak.

Rosberg made his Formula 1 debut with Williams in 2006, where he set the fastest lap on his very first start. In 2010 he joined Mercedes and grew into a consistent winner as the team rose to dominance in the hybrid era. After years of fierce rivalry with team-mate Lewis Hamilton, he secured the 2016 Drivers' Championship before announcing his immediate retirement. He finished his career with 1 title, 23 wins, 57 podiums, 30 poles and 1,594 points from 206 starts.
