Lucien Bianchi

Lucien Bianchi, a Belgian driver born in 1934, made seventeen World Championship starts spread across six seasons between 1960 and 1968. His debut came with Cooper-Climax at around 25 years of age, and he scored a point immediately, taking twenty-fourth in the 1960 standings.

The following years brought a succession of different mounts — Emeryson in 1961, Lotus-Climax in 1962, Lola in 1963 and BRM in 1965 — none of which yielded points. His appearances were intermittent, with gaps in 1964 and again in 1966 and 1967.

Bianchi's best season came at the end of his career. Returning in 1968 with Cooper-BRM, he scored five points, took the only podium finish of his career, and was classified seventeenth in the championship.

His final tally of six points and one podium from seventeen starts, earned across six different teams and nearly a decade, reflects a career built on occasional Grand Prix outings rather than sustained full-season campaigns.
