Mark Webber

Mark Webber was an Australian racing driver born on 27 August 1976, a nine-time Grand Prix winner and one of the most respected competitors of his era. Tough, fast and forthright, he spent the most successful years of his career alongside Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull during the team's dominant period.

Webber broke into Formula 1 with Minardi in 2002, scoring points on his debut at his home Australian Grand Prix, before spells with Jaguar and Williams. In 2007 he joined Red Bull, where he developed into a front-runner, taking his maiden victory at the 2009 German Grand Prix and winning at Monaco and Silverstone in 2010 as he challenged for the title. He retired from Formula 1 at the end of 2013 with 9 wins, 42 podiums, 13 poles and 1,048 points from 217 starts, later winning the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship with Porsche.

A fierce racer who never shied from speaking his mind, Webber earned admiration for his raw pace and resilience, particularly through his intense intra-team rivalry with Vettel. His blend of grit and honesty made him one of the most popular Australian drivers in the sport's history.
