Footwork

Footwork was the name under which the Arrows team raced in the early-to-mid 1990s, after the Japanese logistics company Footwork Corporation took over as owner and title backer of the long-running British squad.

During this period the team had a notable flirtation with a works Porsche engine deal that proved disappointing, before settling into its familiar role as a midfield runner. There were occasional strong results, including a memorable near-miss when Aguri Suzuki and others ran competitively, and the team scored points in several seasons.

The Footwork identity was eventually dropped and the team reverted to the Arrows name, continuing its long history as one of the sport's enduring independents.
