About Nico Hülkenberg

Nico Hülkenberg is a German racing driver born on 19 August 1987. A junior-category standout, he won the 2008 GP2 Series title in his rookie season and reached Formula 1 with a reputation as one of the fastest qualifiers of his generation. Across 261 starts he has scored 614 points, one pole position and a long-awaited maiden podium.

Hülkenberg debuted with Williams in 2010 and took a sensational pole position in the wet at that year's Brazilian Grand Prix. He went on to drive for Force India, Sauber and Renault, repeatedly impressing in midfield machinery yet famously holding the record for most starts without a podium. After a strong 2023 to 2024 spell at Haas, he joined the Audi project, which entered F1 by rebranding Sauber. At the 2025 British Grand Prix he finally claimed his first F1 podium with third place.

In 2026 Hülkenberg races for Audi alongside Gabriel Bortoleto. After nine rounds he sits 19th in the standings as the new works manufacturer develops its package.
